COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. — A firefighter was injured early Sunday morning while trying to contain a suspicious fire that destroyed a home.
Colleton County Fire and Rescue crews responded to a report of an explosion and fire at home on Three Mile Road north of Walterboro Sunday at 1:15 a.m. Firefighters reported the single story home fully engulfed by fire and the roof completely burned off when they arrived.
Crews had to run hoses to the home because a narrow fence prevented fire trucks from getting onto the property, according to fire officials.
