FERGUSON, Mo. — A firefighter was grazed by a bullet while on the scene of an electrical fire Thursday night.
KMOV reported that the Riverview Fire Protection District responded to an electrical fire at an apartment complex. A firefighter on scene said his head felt like it was burning; authorities said a bullet went through his helmet.
“A bullet went through the front of his helmet and out the back,” Chief Keith Goldstein said. “Thank God he was just grazed on the top of the head.”
The firefighter is expected to be OK and was taken to a hospital as a precaution; he was later released.
It’s unclear if crews were targeted. The shooting is under investigation.
