NEW YORK — FDNY firefighters managed to disarm a knife-wielding man at a fire station on Monday, officials say.
Authorities reported the FDNY Squad 288 crew in Queens came upon a victim who had been stabbed in the leg and began treating him at the station when the suspect approached the firehouse armed with a knife, according to ABC 7 NY.
The suspect attempted to enter the station and firefighters managed to take the weapon away from him, officials said.
Daniel Gomez, 27, was arrested and charged with assault in the stabbing. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS.
