FORT WAYNE, Ind. — About 60 Fort Wayne firefighters and crews from six other fire departments were called to an early morning fire at an aluminum product factory on the city’s east side, near New Haven.
The report of a structural fire at Hall Aluminum Products, 5402 Moeller Road, came in at 4:52 a.m., according to Fort Wayne Fire Department spokeswoman Stacey Fleming. Heavy smoke and flames were visible at the rear of the building when firefighters arrived, she said.
A firefighter received minor injuries while inside the burning building and was transported to the hospital, treated and released.
