PHILADELPHIA — Two firefighters were injured battling a house fire Wednesday in the city’s Queen Village section.
Executive Chief Richard Davison said the fire, on the top floor of a three-story house in the 300 block of Monroe Street, was first reported at 5:48 p.m. It was placed under control 45 minutes later.
The injured firefighters were transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and were reported in stable condition. Seven adults and two children displaced by the fire were being helped by the Red Cross.
