CHICAGO — Four firefighters were injured fighting an extra-alarm blaze on the Far Northwest Side tonight.
The four were hurt in a stairway collapse while fighting the fire in the 5700 block of North Newark Avenue, according to Fire Media.
At 8:18 p.m. firefighters were called to the two-story brick house where the fire started on the first floor of the building, which is currently being rehabbed, Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago said
