VICTORVILLE, Calif. — A jury-rigged electrical system injured a firefighter in a blazing Victorville home containing a marijuana cache, say San Bernardino County Fire Department officials.

The house fire was reported about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, along Spencer Road in that high desert city. Crews found at least 30 marijuana plants in a growing room, Capt. Josh Wilkins said in a written statement.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries when he was shocked by a live wire from the illegally modified electrical system.
