Firefighters rescue 14 from 2-alarm Colo. apartment fire

Eleven people were rescued using a ladder, three were on the ground floor and crews also rescued one animal

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Firefighters rescued an unconscious person from an apartment fire on South Quebec Street at about 3:30 Tuesday morning.

The unconscious person was found on the third floor of the Woodhaven Apartments at 2450 S. Quebec St., just south of where Evans Avenue becomes East Iliff Avenue.

At least six fire trucks from the Cunningham Fire Department and South Metro Fire Rescue, several Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department cars and multiple ambulances responded to the fire at the apartment complex.
