Man runs back into burning building for 2 cans of beer

The fire and police department used #besmart and #notworthyourlife on Twitter to call out his behavior after the incident

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A man was charged with obstruction after allegedly disobeying orders not to return to a burning home for two cans of beer.

SacBee.com reported that crews responded to a fire at the multi-family residence Sunday afternoon. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation and released at the scene; a third person was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation and burns.

Michael Anthony Casteel, who registered a 0.082 on a breath test, ran back into the burning building to get two 25-ounce cans of Bud Ice Premium.

Casteel faces one count of obstructing law enforcement and one count of obstructing a firefighter.
