WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A four-alarm fire in Pennsylvania destroyed two homes and damaged three others Wednesday morning.
CBS Pittsburgh reported firefighters were alerted to the fire when a resident of one of the homes ran to a fire station down the street and knocked on the door.
The fire started in one home around 3 a.m. and quickly spread to two neighboring homes. By the time firefighters were able to get the flames under control, the blaze had spread to two more homes.
All of the residents were able to escape safely.
“One of the individuals inside one of the houses possibly jumped from a window to escape,” Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer said. “They were treated on the scene by EMS for minor injuries. We have 12 people displaced by the fire.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
