BRUCETON, Tenn. — Bruceton firefighters on Wednesday had to use their skills on their own station. A fire broke out around 7:45 Wednesday morning inside the Bruceton Fire Department, according to the department. No injuries have been reported.
The department believes the fire was sparked by a faulty alternator in the station’s equipment truck, which was destroyed. The state’s Bomb and Arson Squad also is investigating.
Firefighters had returned from a call minutes before the fire was discovered, according to the department. The department is estimating several hundred-thousand dollars worth of damages, including equipment and the building.
