LEHIGH, Iowa — An Iowa firefighter was paged Monday afternoon after reports came in about a fire at his Lehigh home.
Surrounding towns also sent firefighters to the town of about 400 to fight the fire about 3:30 p.m.
Lehigh volunteer firefighter Cody Frazier told KCCI he was on duty when he received the page, and he knew it was either his home or his neighbor’s. “Your heart kind of stops there for a little bit. You don’t know what to do next,” Frazier said. Frazier was one of the first on the scene and helped battle the fire inside his home.
