MURRAY CITY, Ohio — It was a tough choice, but after a week of calming down and rethinking the decision he made during last week’s village council meeting, Ron Cook accepted the position of Murray City Fire Chief once again.
“I’m happy to report that Ron will be coming back as fire chief,” stated Murray City Mayor Sharon Koon Monday night. “The fire department is back up and running.”
During last week’s meeting, Cook and councilman Dennis Wolf butted heads on an issue that prompted Cook to resign. However, everyone sat down and discussed the issue calmly, and Cook decided to go with his heart and continue to serve the people of the village as he has done for so many years.
