OAK GROVE, Ark. — A fire chief died Tuesday night from injuries he suffered from a vehicle crash earlier this month.

KARK reported that Oak Grove Fire Chief Randy Pogue was responding to a motor vehicle accident on Feb. 2 when his department pickup hit a patch of ice and crashed.

Chief Pogue was conscious, but went into Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome once at a hospital. He had been in a medically induced coma since the day of the accident, according to the report.

The Randy Pogue Benevolent Fund which has been established at 1st Arkansas Bank & Trust to help Chief Pogue’s family.
