BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — There are 12 Emergency Service Districts in Bexar County. ESD #6 has put three volunteer fire department’s on notice due to a number of concerns. The VFDs could lose funding at the end of the year.
The board issued letters to all three departments saying they are in breach of contract.
The letter stated the South Bexar Volunteer Fire Department failed to submit the proper documents to maintain insurance coverage.
