CLEVELAND — Marc Huff lost four teeth as a result of a punch in the face and landed in jail on Dec. 1, 2005, after an encounter with Cleveland firefighters and police at the scene of a car crash involving his girlfriend.

Huff had rushed to the scene of the accident at Interstate-90’s Dead Man’s Curve to check on the condition of his girlfriend, whose car was badly damaged and had spun around in traffic.

According to a lawsuit he later filed, Cleveland firefighters refused to answer his questions and became confrontational, ordering Huff to leave. When Huff climbed into his car to go, one firefighter slammed his helmet on the hood, reached into the car and hit Huff in the mouth.
