MOBILE, Ala.— A search is underway for a missing firefighter who was last seen on Feb. 20.
FOX10tv.com reported that an investigation started after Ryan Vahle, with the Mobile Fire Department, did not show up for work. Friends and family told police he failed to show up for plans they had and they’ve not heard from him, both, they say, is uncharacteristic.
He was last seen at a restaurant in Florida. Vahle lives on a boat docked in Pensacola, Fla.
Emergency personnel from the Pensacola police and fire departments, U.S. Coast Guard and search and rescue teams have been searching the Pensacola Bay.
Foul play is not suspected at this time. He’s been a firefighter with Mobile since October.
