ST. LOUIS, Mo.— A St. Louis firefighter was reinstated after she was severely burned in the line of duty in 2006.
KSDK reported that firefighter Cindy Schuenke, who was burned while trying to rescue a woman from a burning home, was later fired.
On Monday, a court ordered the Community Fire Protection District to reinstate firefighter Schuenke and to pay her for the four years she was off the job, according to the report.
