Rochester, N.Y. — The woman charged with providing guns to the man who fatally shot two firefighters and wounded two others on Christmas Eve is scheduled to appear in federal court in Rochester.
Dawn Nguyen of the town of Greece is expected to appear Wednesday morning for a hearing regarding her lawyer’s motions to have the charges against her dismissed.
Authorities say Nguyen and William Spengler Jr. were neighbors in Webster when she bought the firearms for Spengler, who was prohibited from buying or owning guns because he was a convicted felon.
Police say Spengler used the guns to kill two firefighters and wound two others early on the morning of Dec. 24. Spengler killed himself after a shootout with police.
