Outer and inner circles at MVCs

Tips

By Mark van der Feyst

Whenever responding to a motor vehicle accident, it is always good to establish the outer and inner perimeters. The outer perimeter is for the entire accident scene and the inner perimeters are for each individual vehicle.

Having these circles established allows rescue personnel to check the perimeters for any ejected victims or hazards that may not have been noticed before.
