ORLANDO, Fla. — Firefighters used special tools to free a teenage girl who accidentally locked herself inside a gun safe Tuesday evening at Shooters World in Orlando, a spokeswoman said.

Orlando Fire Department spokeswoman Ashley Papagni said the 15-year-old girl, who was not identified by name, trapped herself inside a showroom safe at the indoor shooting range and gun store at 4850 Lawing Lane around 6:15 p.m.

Fire crews arrived with hydraulic extrication tools and were able to breach the safe’s door, Papagni said, releasing the teen from the tight space uninjured.

A full report of the incident was not immediately available from the Orlando Fire Department Tuesday night.

Representatives of the indoor shooting range and gun store did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
