SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario — A firefighter was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after the tanker truck he was driving flipped over Saturday.
Standard-Freeholder.com reported that the South Glengarry Fire Rescue rig was responding to another collision when firefighter Randy Robertson lost control of the vehicle. Fire Chief Vic Leroux said his injuries are serious, but he is in stable condition.
The cause of the accident hasn’t been determined, but weather appeared to be a factor. Fire officials said the truck was destroyed.
A female passenger received minor injuries in the collision Robertson was responding to.
