NEW YORK — A man suffered a serious leg injury after being struck by an FDNY fire truck en route to an emergency call Saturday night.
ABC7 reported that the 34-year-old had the ‘do not walk’ sign but proceeded to cross anyway.
According to police, the fire truck had its lights and sirens on.
One witness said when he looked out his window, he saw firefighters tending to a man pinned under the truck. The man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators spent several hours on scene interviewing firefighters and collecting evidence. The incident remains under investigation.
