HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A firefighter has been hospitalized after he was pinned between a fire truck and a privately owned vehicle driven by another firefighter.
Click2Houston reported that the incident happened Thursday morning at the Little York Fire Department. The firefighter, whose name has not yet been released, was sitting on the back of a fire truck when a large pickup truck pulled into the station garage and pinned him. The bumper of the pickup was very high and crushed the chest of the firefighter for less than 20 seconds, according to the report.
The firefighter was transported via LifeFlight to a hospital. The firefighter was later listed in stable condition before being released, according to the report.
The 23-year-old is employed as a part-time firefighter, and as a full-time firefighter at the Ponderosa Fire Department, according to the report.
