PEORIA, Ariz. — Video of a fire department practicing hose control in a training exercise similar to the classic arcade game “Whac-A-Mole” has been viewed more than one million times on Faecbook.
Firefighters with the Peoria Fire-Medical Department can be seen waiting in a three-story building behind closed window shutters. When they open the shutters, a recruit on the ground armed with a fire hose tries to aim for and spray them.
Officials told CBS News 3 that the game helps recruits “practice movement, footwork and precision with a powerful hose.”
