ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Firefighter Anthony Carfagno, 58, died after a battle with COVID-19 on Tuesday, the City of Atlantic City announced on Facebook.

Carfagno was a firefighter and driver/operator with Engine Company 3 of the Second Platoon. He served in Atlantic City for over 23 years.

Carfagno supported the International Association of Firefighters Muscular Dystrophy “Fill the Boot” initiative and was a caretaker of a community garden that surrounded his local firehouse.
