LOWELL, Mass. — A Lowell boy got the chance to pick out a new bicycle a week-and-a-half after his was stolen.
Back in August, 10-year-old Ethyn was given the bicycle by his father Billy Bertrand, who had built it himself. A month later, Bertrand passed away.
Ethyn’s mother, Misty Guilbeault, said the bike was the last gift her son got from his father and had a lot of sentimental value. Guilbeault said it was stolen from the side of her house and two girls who were playing outside told her they saw a man go into the yard and take it.
