TIMARU, New Zealand — Five firefighters went to the rescue of a Timaru woman after she became stuck in her toilet yesterday. Erika Lam was attending to mother nature’s call when she found herself unable to open the toilet door.
''There was no lock on it — [the door handle] just wouldn’t turn. I called out to my Dad, but it took a wee while because he was outside mowing the lawns,’' she said.
Her father tried everything he could think of to get her out — even removing the hinges — but the door still would not budge. So he called the fire service.
