CLINTON, S.C. — A Clinton firefighter has died and another was injured when their fire engine collided with a vehicle while responding to a call.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers said the Clinton fire engine was traveling east and a 2006 Lexus was traveling north on March 31 when both vehicles collided at an intersection, WFYY reported.
FOX Carolina reported that the Clinton Fire Department identified the firefighter killed as 27-year-old Michael Vinson of Laurens.
The driver of the Lexus was also injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
