BATH, England — Firefighters went to the rescue of cow after it became stuck in fast-moving water. Crews from Keynsham and Bath attended to the animal which could not get out of the river at Hanham Mills. It was stuck about a mile upstream from the Chequers pub at about 6.45pm on Thursday.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service used the safety boat from Bath to guide the cow towards a slipway and then on to dry land, where it was handed over to the farmer.
