PARMA, Ohio — A Parma Fire Department ambulance was hit while responding to a call.
A statement from the fire department said the incident was another example of how the job is more than just responding to fires, ABC 5 reported.
“The dangers of our job extend beyond fires and the dangerous situations we encounter daily,” a Facebook post by the department read. “Today, Medic 5 was responding to a medical emergency and was struck by another vehicle.”
The front of the ambulance sustained damaged, but no injuries were reported.
“Fortunately, the firefighters and vehicle driver were not injured, but the potential is always there and bears testament to being constantly aware of emergency vehicles as we go through our daily life,” the statement continued.
