ARNOLD, Mo. — Firefighters from the Rockport Community Fire Protection District experienced a close call on Jan. 22 during a response to a call.
In a Facebook post, the department stated that firefighters were responding to a motor vehicle accident during inclement weather when their fire apparatus spun out of control on the icy road.
The apparatus struck a vehicle involved in the original accident before coming to a stop.
There were no injuries reported in the crash involving the fire apparatus.
