ATLANTA — A firefighter accidentally shot himself in the leg while driving Thursday morning.
11alive reported that the firefighter was driving home from work in his personal car when the accident occurred.
His gun discharged and bullet landed in his left calf, Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones said.
Paramedics were called to the scene to help the injured firefighter. He was later taken to the hospital to undergo surgery, according to the report.
