PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland firefighters rescued a man from a tree Tuesday after he was injured by a chainsaw in Southwest Portland.
Responders were dispatched to the 9800 block of Southwest 18th Place just before noon, said Lt. Damon Simmons, aPortland Fire Bureau spokesman.
Simmons said the man was about 40 feet up when his chainsaw kicked back, lacerating his right arm. The man was using a harness while trimming the tree.
