RUSSIA — Video shows a construction worker stuck waist-deep in a grey sludge struggling to free himself.
Rescue crews use a large excavator to initially pull him out, then try to use the machine to dig him out, but remain unsuccessful. On the third attempt crews were able to actually use the excavator bucket to scoop him out of the ground.
It is unclear how the man became stuck, but the area is reportedly a hotspot for risk-takers looking take their chances to try and cross the sludgy area.
