Rescuers pull alleged drunk driver from flaming car in San Francisco

Passer-by was treated at the scene for minor burns

SAN FRANCISCO — A police officer and Good Samaritan pulled an alleged drunk driver from his burning car following a crash in San Francisco on Monday morning.

The vehicle burst into flames after crashing into a light pole about 1.30 a.m.

The officer and a passer-by dragged the man out of the car and he was taken to the hospital. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The passer-by was treated at the scene for minor burns, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.
