NEW YORK — A heavy fire that tore through a Queens home Monday injured seven people, including two firefighters, officials said.

Smoke-eaters raced to the two-story house on 60th Road near Mount Olivet Crescent in Maspeth just after 11:50 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

Once inside, the first responders rescued several trapped people, including children, and guided them outside.

The three-alarm fire quickly spread to a neighboring building while about 140 firefighters and medics worked at the scene.

As they worked to knock down the flames, a floor gave out and a firefighter fell to the basement, FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief John Sarrocco said at a Monday news conference.

That firefighter, another smoke-eater and four people in the home were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. A seventh person refused medical attention at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
