POLLOCKSVILLE, N.C. — An 18-year-old Suffolk, Va. woman in a stolen car attempted to run over a firefighter directing traffic at accident scene before leading authorities on a high-speed chase, Jones County sheriff’s officials said.

The incident began around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Jones County sheriff’s Capt. J.T. Eimer said lawmen were controlling traffic at the crash scene on Ten Mile Ford Road when Miesha Reid Fenner approached, passed a car and attempted to run over a firefighter directing traffic.
