BROCKTON, Mass. — An alligator crossed the road but a Massachusetts firefighter made sure it didn’t get to the other side.
Brockton firefighter Scott Hurst slowed his vehicle when a nearby car swerved on Sunday, then noticed what he thought was an iguana in the street, according to WFXT.
The 3-foot baby alligator was wearing a spiked leather collar.
Having fun with the situation, fellow firefighters nicknamed Hurst “gator.”
The alligator was turned over to animal control and was probably owned illegally.
