TROY, Ohio — The food of the day is potato chips in Troy and the entire city is throwing its support behind a local man whose new chip flavor could be a million dollar winner.
“July 31, 2014 is recognized as Lay’s Bacon Cheddar Mac and Cheese Day in honor of Matt Allen,” the mayor exclaimed. It is one of four new flavors of Lay’s Potato Chips. The creation comes from Dayton firefighter and Troy resident Matt Allen.
“It’s a meal I got from my wife. I started in the fire service learning how to cook,” said Allen. Matt submitted his flavor back in February as part of Lay’s “Do Us a Flavor” contest.
