EAST GREENWICH, R.I. — The deputy fire chief in East Greenwich was suspended with pay for allegedly dropping his pants at a meeting, the NBC 10 I-Team reported Tuesday.
A source told the I-Team that Deputy Fire Chief Russell McGillivray, at a training session conducted by the state fire marshal’s office, dropped his pants during a class, exposing his naked body from the waist down and mooned one or more of his classmates.
The source said there were men and women in the room. “An incident did happen, but I don’t think he was naked. I suspended McGillivray for two days with pay,” East Greenwich Fire Chief Peter Henrikson said.
