EUNICE, La. — A fire chief was arrested Nov. 6 on allegations of slapping a volunteer firefighter.
KATC reported that Fire Chief Michael Arnold turned himself into police after they obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was released from jail on his own signature after being booked on one count of simple battery.
Chief Arnold could not be reached for comment and Eunice Mayor Rusty Moody said he also had no comment on the arrest, according to the report.
Police said the incident happened about a month ago.
