Video: Firefighters rescue man stuck in 7-foot hole

The 39-year-old man lives in the area and was picking up trash when he fell into the hole

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rescue crews worked early Wednesday morning to remove a man who was stuck in a 7-foot hole in northeast Charlotte.

Firefighters were called to 201 Clark Blvd. just before 7:25 a.m. and found 39-year-old Harry Truman Cadle II stuck in the tight hole, with dirt up to his shoulders.

Firefighters told Channel 9 that Cadle had been stuck in the 7-foot hole since around 6:30 a.m. He was dirty and wet when rescuers got to him, but they said he was talking.
