LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A firefighter with the Henderson County Fire Department died of a heart attack on Friday, the department announced.
Firefighter Richard “Rick” D. Miller had answered an emergency call shortly before his death, the department said.
Miller served as a driver for Station 1 since 2021. He was 69 years old.
“Not only have we lost an active and dedicated firefighter who was committed to serving his community, but a personal friend because of the close ties among fellow firefighters,” the department said in a statement.
