WYOMISSING, Pa. — A fire captain with the Wyomissing Fire Department has died, the United States Fire Administration reported.

Captain Derrick L. Nester was on an overtime shift on May 5 and responded to several emergency calls, with the final one being a residential structure fire.

After completing his shift, he went back home. When he failed to appear for his scheduled shift on the evening of May 6, his colleagues tried unsuccessfully to reach him, according to the United States Fire Administration.
