KYIV, Ukraine — As the fighting continues amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the heroic actions of Ukrainian first responders are grabbing the attention of the international media.

Dodging bombs, tanks and gunfire, firefighters in Ukraine continue to respond to requests for help from their fellow citizens, doing what they can with the resources they have. Their plight is making waves across the globe, as first responders worldwide gather donations to ship to the war-torn country, including everything from ambulances, fire apparatus, gear, uniforms, PPE and anything else that might be of use as the Russians continue their assault on Ukraine.
