Watch: Pa. firefighters narrowly avoid being caught in collapse

POTTSVILLE, Pa. — Firefighters spent hours battling a fire at a business in Pottsville on May 23.

The fire began at approximately 7 p.m. at a commercial building near the 600 block of East Market Street.

While fire crews were tackling the blaze, the building collapsed, narrowly missing the firefighters below, WNEP reported.

All firefighters were accounted for after the collapse. WFMZ reported there were no injuries.

Two nearby homes were damaged and 10 people were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
